Lotta Smooch originally issued and granted on June 1, 2002

mwah babyOn August 10, 2002 Lotta Smooch became dedicated to the Sex Pistols who BMF says is the greatest fuckin’ band to ever rule the greatest fuckin’ bands…period.

lottasmoochOn May 29, 2009 BMF revived

Lotta Smooch from her internet grave.

Lotta Smooch is now dedicated to BMF.

Why? Why not? OK OK … if you insist …it began with a mutual admiration  for the Sex Pistols.

On July 31, 1996 the Sex Pistols took the stage at the Red Rocks Amphitheatre outside Denver in what would be the group’s first USA performance in 18 years. They called it the Filthy Lucre tour.

peace pipeOn August 4, 2002 my BMF posted on Whatever Happened to Rock and RollJohnny Rotten Smooch, a MTV news link that the greatest punk band ever might return to the USA for a show in California. He mentions casually in his cool relaxed way that if the Pistols actually showed up in California they might decide to go on a US tour and wind up coming close to Atlanta. As I thought about what he said, I decided I could not take the chance he might miss out on seeing the Pistols perform live. On August 5, 2002, BMF’s birthday, KROQ radio announced the Sex Pistols would indeed headline the 2nd annual Inland Invasion Low Dough Show, [1], [2], [3], [4] in Devore, California on September 14, 2002. This gave me the perfect opportunity to challenge him with a difficult decision. You see as much as BMF loves punk rock music, he also loves motocross. My plan was to surprise him with a downpayment on a new bike [1] for his birthday. But given this rare opportunity would he rather have the bike or a trip to California to see the Pistols?  I posted his choices to  Nashville Pussy Chronicles, Fried Chicken and Coffee, and awaited his response.

It didn’t take him long to choose the Pistols. [8/5/02~MC]

Posted on Lotta Smooch on Saturday, August 10, 2002:  Five weeks from today I get a chance to be there with my own badmotherfucker Johnny Rotten who has been educating me for sometime now about the essence of punk rock music. He expands my world every day by introducing music to me that he loves and then explaining why. The first gift he ever gave me was Johnny Rotten’s autobiography , and then gave me PiL’s , “Cassette”, because I liked the song Rise. He made me fall in love with the music and his stories, and then he made me fall in love with him. So this is my chance to give something back that I know he will love. Happy Birthday Baby!
